Heard of gouache? It is that wonderfully quirky paint that decided it could not quite be a watercolor and was not quite an acrylic, landing somewhere fabulous in between. Think of it as the versatile middle child of the art world, capable of delivering super bold colors, dreamy blends, and generally making your illustrations pop. If you have been curious about giving it a whirl, this class is a friendly nudge into its world. We will poke around the basics, from figuring out how to mix the stuff without making mud, to layering like a pro, and getting comfortable with your brushes. No need to be an art wizard or even an art apprentice; just bring your good old curiosity and a willingness to smudge a bit.

Speaking of which, do remember to bring your own art supplies. That means your gouache paints, some brushes you like, a palette for mixing your colorful concoctions, a water container (because hydration is key, even for paint), and some sturdy mixed media or watercolor paper to get your masterpieces down on. We are not supplying the goodies, so make sure your art bag is packed for an afternoon of creative fun.
