Larimer Lights in Denver sticks around nightly through December, turning Larimer Square and nearby downtown streets into a glow-up wonderland with projection mapping that tricks your eyes, lit-up scenes straight out of a holiday postcard, live entertainers strumming away, and window displays that probably took elves overtime. Its a laid-back stroll thats oddly mesmerizing at early evening, when the lights kick in just as the sun dips, leaving you primed for dinner without the rush.

Wandering in is free, though the shops and restaurants along the way might nudge you toward spending if youre not careful with your willpower.
