The Denver Art Museum is running an adult watercolor class called Painting: Watercolor & Plants from September 25 to October 16, 2025, meeting 10 AM to 12 PM. Expect to spend your mornings trying to capture branches, flowers and leaves without turning them into abstract blobs. The course covers both expressive and representational approaches, with practice in washes, color mixing, and handling transparency and opacity, so your paint will behave more like a cooperative roommate and less like a mystery spill.

Sessions include gallery visits to view works in the Arts of Asia collection and the Modern & Contemporary collection, plus instruction from professional creatives who have probably painted more plants than you have. Pricing is $130 for Museum Friends, $135 for Members and Students, and $160 for non members. Materials run about $80 to $100.
