The boarding school that Percy Jackson attends is poised to expel him. Again. And that's the least of his problems. Greek mythology textbook pages and the gods of Mount Olympus appear to be coming alive in Percy's life lately. Even worse, he has enraged a number of them. Percy is the main suspect in the theft of Zeus's main lightning bolt. He needs to reconcile with his father's abandonment, figure out the Oracle's riddle that foretells his friend's betrayal, and uncover a plot that is more sinister than the gods themselves.
